My ideas for the space were to simply utilise the space, give it a use. In order for me to do that I wanted to use as much of the space as I could without making it too cluttered. 

The shelf is something basic but functional. It can hold records for the wall of record players opposite, it can hold books and magasines for the students occupying the space. It isn't a revolutionary idea but then again there isn't much space to work with so you have to make do with what you have. It also offers something fairly pleasing to look at. Most of the walls in the building are bare, some containing graphics with directions to specific rooms in the building. There aren't many dynamic elements to the decor of Ravensbourne. Hopefully this will give it something new.
